What I did in the game: Everything 100% completed. Every Cards possible upgraded to UR.
The One Picture I have taken: Tasks menu.
I'm finally emerging from my gaming burn-out, and while I still mostly play Stardew Valley with my family farm, I finally managed to complete something a little bit bigger. And this was the perfect game for me to make me smile all over again while gaming. Promise Mascot Agency is the next game from the creator of Paradise Killer, which was a Phoenix Wright style investigation game but with FPS gameplay set in a world with Gods, Cults, crazy characters, and just overall weird all around. This next game is 100% in the same vein.
You're playing a disgraced yakuza who needs to collect tons of money by running a Mascot Agency. Because yes, in this world, Mascots are actual living being, and they are an industry of their own. So you run around in your old dirty pick-up truck, in an ugly open world and with the physic of a ragdoll. Your trucks is indestructible, so you can crash everywhere and it adds to the hilarity of the whole thing. So it's part management-sim, part collect-a-thon, part crazy. And while I'm sure the game might looks and runs better on others consoles/PC, to be frank the jankiness of the game on Switch is part of the experience. It was like finding a low-budget PS2 hidden-gem where love was pouring everywhere from the product. Really had that Suda51 feels.
As far as completion goes, they also do something I like a lot. They let you find much of the collectables by yourself, but when you reach around 97% of it, instead of letting you waste your life roaming the entire map to find the stuff you're missing for the next hundred hours, they actually give you map icons to show you what the last few items are. So you still have to work to get there, but you dont have to go online and revisit every place on the map because you dont remember which one you got. I wish more games open world game would do this perfect middle-ground between showing you nothing and everything.
So yeah, to conclude, Promise Mascot Agency might be one of my favorite indie experience of 2025 so far. It's funny, crazy, really chill, and overall just make me feel good inside. Go support the team!
