What I did in the game: 3 Stars and 1000 Banandium Gems.
The One Picture I have taken: Save Files screen.
First BIG Switch 2 Completion for me, Donkey Kong Bananza was just a game that put a smile on my face the whole playthrough. Now, let's talk about the elephant in the room first. Yes, this is Super Mario Odyssey 2 with a new gimmick. Everything from the game structure of getting hundreds of collectables rather quickly, up to even the shops, it smells Super Mario Odyssey all the way. And I'm all for it. The new mechanic this time (instead of swapping body with Cappy) is that DK can just destroy almost everything in the environment. And I mean EVERYTHING. You can pretty much terraform every world you visit as you see fit. DK is just REALLY powerful. Maybe too much, to the point where I didnt saw any challenge in the game, even in the hardcore post-game levels. DK moveset, along all his transformations, makes it so easy to cheat everything in the game. But while it may break the difficulty, it is SOOOO satisfying! Another thing though is if you thought Super Mario Odyssey Power Moons were just laying around too much, Donkey Kong Bananza brings that to a whole new level. Since DK can just go through almost everything, and that he is equiped with a sonar to see collectables when you clap his hands (along the fact that maps pointing you exactly where everything is are even easier to get now), you're just drilling your way from one Banandium Gems to another without any break in-between.
Still, there wasnt one moment where I wasnt having fun, and I feel that the game "final moments" were really way more amazing compared to the already great Odyssey. Yeah I know, I'm comparing both games way too much when Donkey Kong Bananza really stands on its own. I feel both games are like brothers, a dual-pack of awesomeness by same team, pushing one mechanic in each game to its limits. If you have a Switch 2, this is a must own obviously. And for the completionist out there, I'm so glad this is one where you will not need any guide to 100%. Everything you need to complete it is included in the game. There was only a small amount of grind at the end to get enough Chips to buy new Banandium Gems to reach 1000 so you can learn your entire Skills Tree. In my view, this game is an easy 10/10. Too bad we will now wait another whole generations before we get a new game from this team if Super Mario Odyssey is any indication.
