What I did in the game: 100% completed.
The One Picture I have taken: File Select screen.
The 32-bits era 3D platformer from Argonault Software, creator of the original Star Fox, that was pitched to Nintendo as a Yoshi game originally, but turned out to became a crocodile and released on PS1 and Saturn in the end. It was still the early era of 3D Platformers, and even though Super Mario 64 already took over the world by then, I'm sure the developpment began before its release. Surely they were testing the water because I'm not sure tank-control for a 3D Platformer was the most intuitive thing ever (even though yes, back then, not everyone had controller with joystick on PS1 and Saturn, so surely a choice had to be made. I don't remember when they released on PS1, and except if you had Nights into Dreams on Saturn, chances are, you didnt had a controller with a joystick). Still, as primitive as it was, it was still great fun for this early era, with lot of things to collect, and some good (if sometimes unfair) challenges on later levels. And now with this remaster, you can actually play with a proper joystick and camera control (but the tank controls are still availble if you want to). You can even swap between the old and new graphics at the press of a button. While Croc is not a legendary 3D platformer from this era like Mario, Crash and Spyro, I feel like it's still worth revisiting today for an afternoon of fun.
