What I did in the game: Game beaten.
The One Picture I have taken: Ending screen.
A SNES game from Telenet, creator of Valis. In fact, this feels a lot like Valis. It's a 2D Side-Scrolling game with less focus on platforming and more on just killing wave of enemies. You have the choice between 2 characters, Ryo and Maria. Sometimes enemies drop crystals and when you get enough, you power-up Altered Beast style. Ryo end up being a cyborg-like character throwing laser everywhere and Maria a fairy shooting homing magic ball. If you're in this powered-state, the game became really easy. But if you get hit a few times you revert back, which became a pain in later stages. Other than that, it's pretty much an average '90s side-scrolling game with LOT of slow down (SNES doesnt have Blast Processing after all :) ). The unique thing with this game is really its set-up, where you go inside virtual reality movie, to free a girl mind who is trapped in there. But all of that is in the manual, because in-game, there's barely any story at all. But it does gives you a lot of trippy visual and boss. If you're not a Telenet fan like me though, I'm not sure I would suggest this one (though, it's also available for free on the NSO SNES app, so you can always try it there).
