What I did in the game: Story Mode completed.
The One Picture I have taken: Ending screen.
QQQbeats is a crossover between a rhythm game and puzzle game, and is the pseudo-sequel to Touhou Spell Bubble released many years ago. Basically you play Puzzle Bubble until you manage to make a connection of 5 bubbles or more of the same color. When it happens, you then enter a rhythm game phase where you have to burst bubble to the rhythm. So as you can guess, every battle takes place during the duration of a selected song, and if either of you or your opponent bubbles reach the bottom of the screen, every bubbles then get added as a score to the one still one, and the field gets reset. There's a lot of others rules, but it's basically it. Attack the opponents with garbage bubbles until they die to get points while playing a mix of Puzzle Bubble and Rhythm games. It's really unique, and unlike Touhou Spell Bubble, this time, the songs list is all over the place. It pretty much crosses over with Groove Coaster when it comes to the songs list. Both were made by Taito, so I'm guessing it was easier to obtain some licensed stuff to use in both series, but if you've played A LOT of Groove Coaster like me, the songs list will be pretty familliar.
When it comes to Game Modes, you have a Story Mode of 16 Chapters, many VS Modes, both online and offline and a special co-op mode called DUOps where 2 players battle one enemy. There's unlockable stuff, both through Story Mode and an in-game shop, but I think that here lies the biggest problem of the game. Once you have completed the Story Mode, there's no way (at least on release) to collect any coins to buy everything else in the shop. Every others way to collect coins is through Missions it seems, and the missions that gives you coins are either playing DUOps or Ranked Match, both of which I won't do, because I only play solo on this one. Playing against the computer in VS Mode doesnt seem to give any coins. So I'm stuck here with 10 more songs to unlock via the shop, and no way to unlock them while playing solo, except if I'm missing something (please comment if you know a way to collect more coins in offline single-player). So the whole thing left a sour taste in my mouth. I did tested the online once (I was curious) and it took me several times to find one match and this was on release week, so this game is pretty much dead on arrival. If they don't patch way to do everything by yourself I can't really recommend this game for now, which is sad, because the experience was really fun, even though I'm really bad at the puzzle part of the game. Good game, bad single-player experience for now.
