Today is Pokémon Day it seems, with the arrival of the newest game in the series, and the second Legends game after Arceus. I just got my copy of Pokémon Legends: Z-A, which is for X/Y what Arceus was for Diamond and Pearl. And while I'm still not buying new Switch 2 exclusives as I've said before, I also said that I wanted to take advantage of my Switch 2 as a Switch 1 accessory. As such, I just bought the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition version of it. It's my first purchase of something like this...well, first-party wise, since Rune Factory: Guardians of Azuma was pretty much that. But if Rune Factory asked for a 12GB download on the Switch 2 (which kinda killed the purpose of having both versions on the 64GB Switch 2 cart), so far Pokémon Legends Z-A is complete on cart, both on the Switch 1 and Switch 2, no download necessary. If you booth it up on the Switch 2, it will automatically changes to the Nintendo Switch 2 Edition. I don't know if I will start it now, as I usually like to wait for Pokémon Home support before starting a new Pokémon game. But I may start it up just to see how it looks on both consoles. You unfortunately can't transfer you save through Cloud, but you can do so with a save transfer between consoles, which I was already doing all the time with all my others Pokémon games. I'm guessing both versions have the same save, but I also want to check that too...
