Persona 3 Aegis: The First Mission - LV40 with everything S-Rank

What I did in the game: Game beaten at LV40 with every pieces of equipment at S-Rank.

The One Picture I have taken: Menu screen.

One of the most well known "lost media" (well not anymore, but still) from old Japanese cellphone, this is a prequel to Persona 3 starring as you can guess Aegis/Aigis. Unlike Persona 3 though, this is an action RPG. You traverse the environment with some platforming section here and there, battling enemies in real time with 3 different weapons, gaining XP and money, leveling up and buying new equipments. It's all well and good, but they've decided to make this game 3D on a device that surely couldnt handle it really well. The result is something really choppy, and in the last dungeon, it sometimes can get into slideshow level when there's tons of enemies. There's also some music here and there, some of them being good enough, but a lot of the time there's just silence. In particular in story moment where there's just no sound, which make the whole thing pretty awkward.

Not that it was important to me, since I just skipped the entire story, not being able to read Japanese and all. All I could see is that she fell down from a bridge, go through a dungeon inside a waterfall, and finish the game in a dungeon inside a tree that looks like Tartarus. After reading all that, you may think that I didnt enjoyed my time with it, but I did. I can see that it was an ambitious title for the device, and I can lower my expectation knowing that. Even without knowing Japanese, the game is straight forward enough so that everyone can play it. As for the completion aspect, I tried to reach the level cap, but 40 is already well above where you end normally, and this is one of those game where the more you level up, the less XP you gain from enemies. In fact, at one point, lower level enemies start giving you 0XP, and at 40, even the highest level enemies in the game were starting to give just a tiny amount, so I decided to stop there for my sanity. I can already destroy the last boss without strategy and no healing at that point. So that's it for this game, I'm glad it was preserved on Switch for everyone to play!
