What I did in the game: All Achievements earned.
The One Picture I have taken: Achievements screen, near the bottom, which show 3 rows containing the most important achievements. The rest will mostly be obtained in the process of getting those 3 lines filled.
Random JRPG completion of the Day: Reynatis. This is from Furyu, which are the master of giving us new B-Tier JRPG straight from the PS2 era (that's how they feel at least), which I love. Sometimes it's great to get a lower budget game with heart behind it. The game is all about fight between Wizards. You have tons of factions or types of wizards, like the Guild, Consul, Legacies, Replicas, Stray Wizards, Damned, etc...It's all very Kingdom Hearts-esque in it's storytelling, but also in it's overall design. Everything is happening in Shibuya at night, and your either roam the streets of the city, or go into Another, which is a magical Dimension and your dungeons in the game. 95% of them are just forest unfortunately, so you can feel the jank all around in their design. Still the world is really cool. When in Shibuya, you need to hide your identity as a Wizard, else people start sharing your appearance on Social Media, and like in GTA, you're gaining Rank from 10 to 1, and once you reach Rank 1, the Magical Police (M.E.A.) Elites show up to kill you. All those little systems give the game a big personality.
And there's the combat. Even there, it's really unique. When you hide your magical power, you can enter a slow-motion moment if an enemy attack you directly, and if you can avoid it (by pressing a button and releasing it at the right moment), you can make a big magical explosion, which give you tons of MP, and then you can start spamming spells. And once another bar fills up, you release your finishing "Final Menace" move. There's also a standard attack button, but I admit I never used it. For me it was all about avoiding attacks, spamming spells, and then using Final Menace. Rinse and repeat. It was all very cool looking. Unfortunately, as far as character customization, there's not much. You gain levels and can equip skills. But that's it. You don't have equipments or anything, and the only shop in the game is to buy generic items and give you more skill slots (up to 5). That's it. Plus, as I said, the game overall feels very janky. Graphics are sub-par (character faces in particular) and the story is just non-sensical stuff. But I love it. And the soundtrack is really amazing! As for completion, there's nothing missable from what I can gather, but some of the achievements are really hard to do without a guide (finding all reports). So, if you want to relive the glory days of the PS2 JRPG, where not everything needed to be AAA, I highly recommend it!
