This was my current bedtime reading for a long while. Made by Too Kyo Games, the mind behind Danganronpa, this is a crazy visual novel where your character, which is the leader of a sect called the Shuten Order, is killed at the beginning of the game, but God is resurrecting you to give you a chance to fully come back to life. You must find your murderer in 4 days and make him/her confess to do so. Two angels will help you on your quest, and you will quickly know that your murderer is amongst the 5 Ministers of your Order. You'll have to select one of them to investigate, and each of the 5 routes is basically a different kind of Visual Novel. You'll have a Death Game, Dating Sim, Survival Horror, Detective à la Phoenix Wright and a multi-branch VN with multiple endings. Obviously, you'll end up clearing all 5 routes to reach one of the two True Endings. The game is just crazy as it sounds, and while each part is not the best of the genre it tries to emulate, the sum of its parts ends up being greater overall for the experience. I won't say much more here, because all you can talk about in a VN is its story, characters and such, which will spoil everything, but yeah, it was really worth it, and another great read from Too Kyo Games. I'll now have to go back and play The Hundred Line: Last Defense Academy which I totally skip from my backlog. I went directly from Master Detective to this. In any case, an easy 9/10 VN for me!
