Yakuza 0: Director's Cut - 100% completed

What I did in the game: 100% completed.

The One Picture I have taken: Completion List screen.

The reason why I didnt completed much game at the end of 2025. Yakuza 0 was supposed to be my end of year project, and I was expecting a relatively quick completion, but boys was I wrong. You have to know that it was my first Yakuza game, so I didnt knew what to expect. As a Sega fanboy who now only play handheld and on Nintendo machines ever since the PS3 era, it was always something that was lacking to my Sega belt. So I was really happy when they started bringing the games on Switch and now Switch 2. Started with Yakuza 0 because I've heard it's a favorite in the series. And as soon as the game starts, I was already lost in everything you can do in it. I won't go into every details about the game, since it's already old at this point, and it's not a review. But I've quickly learned that the point of Yakuza is not going through the story, which was maybe only 10% of my playtime, but really doing everthing else. And that everything else is neatly listed in a Completion List, complete with progression bars, check lists and a star when you complete a list.

And the range of activities in this game is just beyond this world. Complete Sega Arcade games, karaoke, dancing, fishing, taking care of multiple business with entire storylines between them. I even had to learn how to play Mahjong to 100% the game, which is not something I was expecting to ever do in my lifetime. While the main game is a serious crime drama, all that side-contents is just beyond crazy and hilarious. Also had maybe a little bit too much of "fan-service" content to play in front of the family I've quickly learned. After having 100% it, it truly feels like this series is everything Shenmue ever wanted to be. Day-to-day life simulator with lots of things to do alongside an action battle system. It truly was a completionist dream game, but it left me drained, so I don't think I'll be able to tackle Yakuza Kiwami right away. But it truly made me a new Yakuza fan, that's for sure.
