We knew it was coming ever since it leaked, but we had no official confirmation until today, when Ubisoft announced that they were releasing Rayman 30th Anniversary Edition, and shadow-dropping it on all platform. I bought the Switch version obviously. I was surprised that this was a Digital Eclipse project, so I was happy to see that, while not as big as their others compilations, they still went a little above and beyond what I was expecting from this package. First, there's a complete history for the game, with a timeline we know Digital Eclipse for (so pictures and videos are included). Then, there's 5 playable versions of the first Rayman: PS1, Jaguar, DOS, Game Boy Color and Game Boy Advance (the version I've played first personally was the Saturn version, which is not included here, but is pretty much the same as PS1 I guess). But there's also a 6th game, a SNES prototype, which was a nice, if almost non-functionning, surprise! So overall, really nice package, with all the emulation bells & whistles you know of (filter, screen size, rewind, etc...). Below is a quick overview I did to show you the game in motion. Enjoy!
