It's the start of 2026, and January finally saw a slowdown on my digital purchases, after two back-to-back huge sales with Black Friday and Boxing Day. In fact, most of my purchases were made at the beginning of the year, when the Boxing Day sale was still running. Here's what I've got for the Switch 1 in January of 2026:
-WitchSpring R (I've heard a lot of people talking about it in good, some kind of RPG hidden gem?)
-Love 3 (classic brutal 2D platformer. Not the biggest fan of the genre, but I love to have some here and there)
-Everhood 2 (loved the first entry, was just waiting for a discount on the second one)
-Eagle Island (skipped this initally because it was a roguelike platformer, but now it has standard crafted levels)
-Hero Seekers (Kemco release of the month, this is the third Vanguard game)
-Nine Sols (what looks like an amazing 2D Metroidvania)
-Casette Boy (judging from the trailer, it looks like a mix between Zelda and Fez with a Game Boy visual)
-Milo's Dream (already posted my completion here)
-Earnest Evans Collection (already posted my completion here)
-Touhou: Blossom Blade (I love buying Touhou games outside the bullet-hell genre, and this one looked good)
-Cult of the Lamb (the release of a DLC recently gave the base game a BIG discount, so I decided to see for myself why everyone like this game)
Also got three Switch 2 games: Yakuza Kiwami 1 & 2 (since I wanted to continue the Yakuza experience after 0 and before Kiwami 3) and of course Final Fantasy VII Remake. Don't know when I'll try the later, but from everything I've seen, it is an amazing Switch 2 port. That's it for now.
