If November was filled with amazing Black Friday Deals, December Boxing Day/Week just beat it all the way to the moon! There was so many games on my wishlist near or below $10 (which is usually when I pull the trigger), I bought more digital games than I ever did in the past, without breaking the bank too much. Here's what I've got on Switch 1:
-Digimon Story Cyber Sleuth: Complete Edition (always wanted to try a Digimon game and this is the one that caught my eyes the most)
-Evil Tonight (survival horror with cool looking pixel art)
-Fatal Frame: Mask of the Lunar Eclipse (also wanted to try the series, and between the two on Switch, this is the better one it seems)
-Mado Monogatari for MSX2 (origin of Puyo Puyo, but its a dungeon-crawler RPG)
-1000xResist (seems like a weird game with a weird story)
-Dadish 4 (already posted about my completion here)
-Chained Echoes (a pixel-art JRPG-inspired game that never got a big discount before now)
-Xtreme Sports (was it the first WayForward game before Shantae on GBC? I think so...)
-Tinykin (an indie Pikmin games that looks cooler than Pikmin)
-South Park: The Stick of Truth (had to have one of the two South Park game, and this one is complete without any DLC. Not interested in Fractured But Whole)
-Corpse Party (to fill my Horror Games on Switch folder with some classics)
-Voice of Cards Trilogy (I wasnt sure about those for a long while, but with a discount, I finally took the plunge. Currently playing the first one, and yeah, it's amazing after all)
-Sagaia for Game Boy (already posted about my completion here)
-One Finger Death Punch 2 (I've played so many clones of this that were all boring, so I finally bought the original for cheap, and yeah, this is actually amazing. All the clones I've tried just didnt get it)
-Brave X Junction (RPG where you do Black Jack battles. It was from Rideon, so I had to buy it)
-Touhou Artificial Dream in Arcadia (SNES Shin Megami Tensei but in Touhou world)
-Spindle (Zelda-like game where you play as Death with a pig companion)
-Neva (I wasnt the biggest fan Gris, but this one seems more actiony, and have a wolf creature, which I love)
-Card-en-Ciel (finally got a big discount, almost up-to-date with my Inti Create purchases)
-Astal Takers (Kemco release from a few months ago that I've skipped for some reasons)
-Antonblast (still havent started Pizza Tower, but we never have enough Wario Land games)
-Pipistrello and the Cursed Yoyo (Zelda GBA game with a yoyo as your main weapon, but with more controls on it than in StarTropics)
Also had a few games I've installed on Switch 2:
-Ball x Pit (another surprise indie hit that came out of nowhere. Breakout meets Roguelike. It also has a Switch 2 Edition)
-Ruffy and the Riverside (a collect-a-thon 3D Platformer, at least I think it is, but with a Paper Mario graphic-style. Now with 60FPS on Switch 2)
-Skate Story (I'm not buying a lot of Switch 2 exclusives if they're not a continuation of my Switch 1 experience, but music games, or games with heavy emphasis on music, are an exception)
This truly ends 2025 with a Bang! So Happy New Year everyone! Maybe this will be my final year where I will focus on Switch 1 collecting, and phase out gradually my purchases except for a few Switch 2 games here and there. We're nearing 10 years for the Switch 1, I'm ready to move on from collecting and just focus on clearing the backlog. In any case, my #1 most anticipated game for 2026 is definitely the new Rhyth Heaven game! I can't wait for an official release date. That's it for now!

Comments
Though I'll be buying the Switch 1 Physical version, if only because it will be on cart, even if it loses the 60FPS. I'm at a point where I mainly want to focus on finishing my Switch 1 collection, while the Switch 2 purchases I'm doing are mainly complement to my Switch 1 experiences. I really want to slow down my collecting with the Switch 2.
