Tetris 99 have Special Theme #43 available this week-end with Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream special Event

A new special event is happening this week-end for Tetris 99 which will give you the Special Theme 43 if you get 100 points. This time around, it's all about Tomodachi Life: Living the Dream, which is the big Switch game at the moment. So as always, go get it before it's gone (and come back later in the Ticket shop, but who knows when and at what price).

Might as weel take this occasion to talk about my confusion around this game. I have yet to get it because I'm really torn on my feeling. On one hand, I love Miis. Everytime there was a Mii game on Wii, 3DS and Wii U, I was mostly buying them. Those minimalist avatars always had charm for me. I also love collecting Switch 1 "essentials", as I'm buying less and less Switch 2 games in favor of finishing my Switch 1 collection. (I won't go back into details about everything here, you can go read my breaking point here instead), so this seems like another swan song title for the Switch 1 (the true Nintendo swan song for me will be Rhythm Heaven). On the otherhand, it's not really a game. It feels more like an aquarium, where you just watch stuff happens, and have just a tiny amount of controls on your characters. I also don't like games without a true end goal. I need to be in direct control and have a precise obtective in mind. Don't get me wrong, I love watching funny videos of Tomodachi Life online, but I don't feel like the game will give me more than what I'm already seeing on Youtube.

So here I am, still stuck in the middle on if I should get this or not. Oh well, in the meantime, I'll enjoy this new theme in Tetris 99 instead :). Sorry for the rambling, but hey, that's what blogs are for I guess...
